Helping to shape a positive new future for Sierra Leone

The Mape Project is a development programme of tremendous ambition and importance, the vision being to create a new town of exemplary quality and founded on sustainable principles.  Mape Town will be an entirely new multi-functional settlement aimed at attracting the returning Sierra Leonian diaspora and other inward investors as well as offering wide-ranging benefits to local people that will contribute to the revitalisation of the Sierra Leone economy through investment in the Kaffu Bullom Chiefdom, set within Port Loko District.

Strategically located seven miles north of Freetown International Airport and incorporating a new high-speed ferry link to the capital, Mape is set to create a major new development hub of world-class renown. An integrated urban conurbation is planned, with over 600 acres of land secured for development, making it the largest real estate project in Sierra Leone and one of the largest masterplanned development in Western Africa.

This pioneering project is spearheaded by a company formed of internationally based Sierra Leonians with a passion and commitment to take forward the country’s development. The Project was initiated at the behest of the Paramount Chief and the local community as a result of the need to create sustainable economic improvements in the region. The overriding philosophy and working approach is to develop proposals in close conjunction with local people.
